What we do and why?

Edendork Parents Support Group has been in place in Edendork since 2003/2004 and comprises of a group of parents who come together to organise fun activities for the children, parents & wider community with a key fundraising aim.

Throughout the year we will organise a range of activities including:
School Discos
St Brigid’s Cross Making
Quiz nights
Cinema night
Easter Egg raffle
Guess the Score and Sponsored Walks or a Fun Day

We set an annual target of £5,000 and this money has allowed us to supplement teaching resources which are used by all of our children. The support of families during 2013/2014 has allowed us to purchase Maths Software for use by all children in the school:
Handball Wall
Additional Special Educational Needs resources
PA System for School Choir
Meet the cost of resources for every class in the school
We also meet the costs of hospitality for 1st Holy Communion and the transport costs of P7 school trip annually.

Why you might wish to get involved?

The work of the Group is carried out by a small group of parents who are always keen to welcome new members to the group to help us with new ideas and assist us with organised events. The Parents Support Group is a fantastic way to:
Meet other parents in the school & To get involved in presenting the whole school community with a range of extra-curricular activities which are thoroughly enjoyed by all. Any level of commitment is welcomed by the group and whether this is helping with refreshments, helping with the tuck shop run or tidying up after an event it’s a huge help to us in the smooth running of all our activities. If you would like to get involved or help out in any way please contact the school office on 02887740534
